The activity of the President of ERO cannot be perceived separately from the international and mostly the European context of the Regulator’s activity. The role the national regulatory bodies play in the process of liberalisation and consolidation of the European energy markets is constantly strengthened by the European Union, and is reflected in the EU legislation, under which regulators are given new tasks, rights and obligations.
