President of URE approved electricity tariffs for five largest supply companies
President of URE approved changes to the tariffs for 2024 for the supply of electricity to household consumers presented by five companies (PGE Obrót, Tauron Sprzedaż, Enea and Energa Obrót, Tauron Sprzedaż GZE), extending their validity until the end of 2025.
Why have the tariffs been changed and what does this mean for the customer?
The legal basis for the revision of the tariffs for the second half of 2024 and their extension until the end of 2025 is provided in the Act of 23 May 2024 on energy voucher[1]. The act came into force on 13 June 2024, and energy companies submitted tariff applications to the President of URE by 20 June 2024.
The prices in the amended electricity tariffs approved by the President of URE are not going to impact household bills in the second half of 2024, but will be the basis for settlements between the supply companies and Zarządca Rozliczeń (the Settlement Administrator). Earlier this week we published an article on what our electricity bills are going to be between 1 July to 31 December.
The current change of electricity tariffs brings yet another reduction of the tariff prices, as shown in the following chart.
- The tariffs approved today are the result of the Regulator’s dialogue with each of the suppliers, which is continued until the President of URE is certain that the final, approved tariff level corresponds to current market conditions and reflects the justified costs of the activity carried out by the entrepreneurs’ explains Rafał Gawin, President of URE.

- The tariffs approved by the Regulator are exclusive of VAT and excise duty.
- The decisions of the President of URE, together with the approved tariffs, are available on the URE’s website.
