RES auctions: The President of the URE announces seven regular auctions for the sale of renewable energy in 2025.
Seven auction sessions for the sale of renewable electricity will take place between 1 and 9 July this year. The President of the URE published announcements for the individual auctions in the Public Information Bulletin.
In this year's auctions, a total of 75.9 TWh of green energy worth just over PLN 31 billion may be supported. The producers so far most active in the auction support system, i.e. those using solar and onshore wind to generate electricity, have been allocated more than half of the total available energy volume this year - a total of 43.5 TWh, with a total value of almost PLN 13 billion. The largest part in terms of electricity volume (32.25 TWh) is the one shared by large (over 1 MW) solar PV installations and onshore wind farms. An auction session dedicated to these installations will be held on the last day, i.e. 9 July this year. (Auction AZ/7/2025).
The auctions in 2025[1] are dedicated exclusively to so-called new installations.

- The July auctions will be carried out in accordance with the 2023 approved by the Minister of Climate and Environment. Regulations for auctions for the sale of electricity generated from RES installations.
- Reference prices, determining the maximum level of prices in bids submitted in RES auctions, are set out in the Resolution of the Minister of Climate and Environment of 8 November 2023 on the reference price of electricity from renewable energy sources, the periods applicable to producers who have won the auctions and the reference volumes of electricity sales (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 2440).
