Price slump in 2025 Q2 for imported natural gas
In the second quarter of 2025, the average price of natural gas imported from EU Member States or EFTA Member States (parties to the European Economic Area (EEA) Agreement) was PLN 164.98/MWh, 26 per cent lower than the average price level of NG in the previous quarter (222.99 PLN/MWh).
However, the EU and EFTA-sourced NG price was 11 per cent higher in 2025 Q2 than its average in 2024 Q2.

Since the start of 2023, the President of URE has been publishing[1] the average quarterly purchase price of the natural gas imported from non-EU and non-EFTA (non-EEA) countries.
The NG price was 138.53 PLN/MWh in 2025 Q2, 22 per cent lower than in 2025 Q1 (178.63 PLN/MWh). By contrast, the 2025 Q2 price was 14 per cent higher than in 2024 Q2.

[1] The prices can be published for non-EU/EFTA(EEA) imported NG because of a shift in the market conditions that has changed the structure of data transmitted to the Energy Regulatory Office (URE), allowing this Energy Regulator to publish the average NG prices in compliance with the applicable confidential and legally protected data regulations.
