RES: eleven entities in the Register of Energy Clusters

On 10 October 2025, Wałecki Klaster Czystej Energii was entered as the eleventh entity in the Register of Energy Clusters kept by the President of URE.

Wałecki Klaster Czystej Energii operates within five communes in the Wałcz County: Wałcz (municipal commune), Wałcz (rural commune), Człopa, Mirosławiec i Tuczno.

This cluster is composed of thirteen entities: Wałcz County, Wałcz (municipal commune), Wałcz (rural commune), Człopa Commune, Mirosławiec Commune, Tuczno Commune, Water and Sewage Plant in Wałcz, Heat Energy Plant in Wałcz, Ekokonsulting Sp. z o.o., ATF Polska Sp. z o.o., Botres Polska Sp. z o.o., Agricultural Bioelectric Power Plant Rzeczyca Sp. z o.o. i W-G Sp. z o.o.

The distribution system operator is Enea Operator S.A.

Who can get registered?

The Register of Energy Clusters maintained by the President of URE together with the new definition of a cluster have been in force since 1 January 2024 following to 2023 amendment to the Renewable Energy Sources Act. The registration is voluntary but give access to the support system offering such benefits as, for example, an exemption from the RES fee or the co-generation fee.

The entry in the registry is available to any energy cluster operating in the area of a county (powiat) or a maximum of five neighbouring municipalities, which includes at least one representative of the local government.
