RES: twelve entities in the Register of Energy Clusters
On 7 November 2025, Jaworznicki Klaster Energii was entered as the twelfth entity in the Register of Energy Clusters kept by the President of URE.
Jaworznicki Klaster Energii operates within Jaworzno municipality in the Jaworzno County.
This cluster is composed of seven entities: Jaworzno Municipality, Jaworzno Municipal Public Library, Jaworzno Cultural Atelier, Jaworzno Waterworks, Municipal Transport Company, Jaworzno Social Housing Association and Hospital in Jaworzno.
The distribution system operator is Tauron Dystrybucja S.A.
Who can get registered?
The Register of Energy Clusters maintained by the President of URE together with the new definition of a cluster have been in force since 1 January 2024 following to 2023 amendment to the Renewable Energy Sources Act. The registration is voluntary but give access to the support system offering such benefits as, for example, an exemption from the RES fee or the co-generation fee.
The entry in the registry is available to any energy cluster operating in the area of a county (powiat) or a maximum of five neighbouring municipalities, which includes at least one representative of the local government.
