Gas market in Q1 2023: increase of deliveries from the LNG terminal and the European Union, strong growth of the average gas price at TGE.
Compared to the same period last year, the volume of high-methane gas flowing through the Polish transmission system decreased by 14.8 per cent in the first quarter of 2023. In contrast, gas supplies via the LNG terminal increased by over 39 per cent and gas supplies from the European Union by as much as around 59 per cent.

Gas market in Q4 2024: decrease in OTC and TGE contract prices, slight volume increase in OTC transactions and a decrease in exchange sales
In the last three months of 2024, average natural gas prices for sales transactions at the OTC virtual point were over 25 per cent lower than in the same period of 2023. In contrast, the average price of natural gas fuel in contracts concluded on TGE (the Polish Power Exchange) dropped by more than 24 per cent during this time.

Natural Gas Import Prices in Q4 2024 Slightly Lower Year-on-Year
In the fourth quarter of 2024, the average price of natural gas imported from EU and EFTA member states participating in the European Economic Area (EEA) agreement stood at PLN 198.34/MWh. This represents a 1.4% decrease compared to the same period in 2023, when the price was PLN 201.20/MWh.

New tariff for PGNiG OD
On 27 June, the President of the Energy Regulatory Authority (URE) approved the tariff of PGNiG Obrót Detaliczny (PGNiG Retail) for the supply of gas to households and other eligible customers. As of 1 July 2024, the price of high-methane gas for households will be 239 PLN/MWh.
